Happy Halloween Batman!

The day started off very dreary.  Miles stopped by on the way to daycare to say hi and show me his Halloween shirt & mask.  I've always been against kids wearing skulls & cross bones, but this was a Gap shirt for $2 at a consignment store.  I'm a sucker for a deal & for Gap.  Pretty cute if I do say so myself.

After daycare, I picked Miles up, dressed him in the car, and brought him back to my office.  He went trick or treating in Ms. Mitsie's office first...

Then, it we went downstairs for the bank's Fall Fest.  They always do a great job.  It's simple and fun.

More pictures for Miles & Avery's wedding one day...

They had a pumpkin decorating contest.  The pumpkins were awesome!  The McDonald's meal was my favorite...

Miles overcame his fear of Kitty Cash at some point during the party...

After the Fall Fest, we went trick or treating. We just drove to a few friends' houses. Darrin was our driver Don't let the glasses fool you....he wasn't overzealous about Halloween...his face really says it all...

We struck out at the first couple of houses...

But then Ms. Rachel came through for us...

And so did the Hamrick's.  How great is this in their foyer???  I loved it!  Do we have room for one...hmmm.

We were home before 6pm & ordered pizza so we could chill inside while it rains outside.  Unfortunately we live on a busy road, so no trick or treaters for us.  Happy Halloween everyone!

Weekend Wrap Up

Typical weekend around our house...volleyball, more volleyball, church, and football.  This is going to be brief b/c I'm completely addicted to Scandal and we have episodes to watch! Here we go...

Miles tried to fix his hair for school on Friday.  Thanks, but no thanks.  I'll take it from here son...

It was really cold on Friday.  I love cold weather.  This was my computer when I got to work...

Friday night, there was a costume contest at the volleyball game.  Hooray for multiple wears of his Halloween costume...

I decided to be a good sport too...

Miles has decided that he pretty much owns Darrin's gym.  He goes down and talks to the girls before the game and thinks he can talk to Darrin any time he wants to.  I've tried to tell him that they are working but he doesn't really care.  A couple games ago, I looked down and Miles was right behind Darrin calling "Daddy" in the middle of a game.  It was like slow motion.  I couldn't get down there fast enough. Thankfully we were winning at that point and Darrin was gracious towards him.

Some of the moms dressed up as Pink Ladies.  Saturday was the Dig Pink game for breast cancer awareness, so their costumes were fitting.  We have a great group of parents.

Miles & Marissa...

Anna Brooke...

Miles and his buddy, Colt...

...and Colt's little brother, Case.  How cute is this??

Thank goodness for friends who help keep up with Miles during the games.  There are too many to mention.

Miles & Mr. Trey, one of his teachers at school...

He needs to learn to keep his eyes on the pretty girl next to him...

Miles & Alli...

Dressed for the Dig Pink game on Saturday...

Miles drew on the white board in the locker room after the game...

He said it was our family....and made sure Darrin knew that the big head was him :)  Of course I had to be asked to be drawn, so I'm not sure what that says about me...

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

My Baby

Miles loves to have his back scratched and I love spoiling him. I don't want him to be a momma's boy forever but I love it right now.

Weekend Wrap Up

I took off a little early on Friday and Miles & I drove to Nashville to watch Darrin's game. Just a random note, Miles has gotten so much better about riding in the car. I wasn't sure this day would ever come.

We played TSU and it was the wildest environment I've ever seen. There were probably 1,000 people there and only 20 were our fans. In volleyball, we rarely experience big crowds. It was a lot of fun until we lost.

Their band is really good...

...and really loud. So loud you could feel it. Miles did not like it...

Crystal, Steve, Miles, and I all drove to my mom's and spent the night. We went shopping on Saturday. I bought a few fall decorations for the house. We have a long way to go to decorate for all seasons & for everyday, but you have to start somewhere.

Miles had a melt down as shopping was ending and we were all about to drive Belmont for Darrin's Saturday game. My mom offered to take him back to her house so we could go on to the game. I really appreciate my mom because she always wants what's best for Miles. I know she would have liked to have gone to the game. Miles shaped up and had a great afternoon with her. Thanks Mom!

We drove home last night. Today we actually stayed home from church which doesn't happen often. We had family pictures at 1pm and have been watching football ever since. Well, Darrin & I have been watching football and Miles has been watching Netflix and playing on the iPad. Interesting position as he eats a carrot...

We ended the night with Miles asleep in my lap. I can't remember the last time this happened.

Have a great week everyone!
