We had chicken and green beans for dinner. While we were cleaning up, Carson said he was still hungry. They each ate two waffles directly after dinner. They are eating so much right now. Hence the Sam's size syrup on the counter.
I love steak, but I've never been able to make it at home. I finally figured it out! I rubbed with coarse sea salt and then cooked them in a hot and dry, iron skillet for five minutes. That's all it took and they were perfectly cooked (we like ours medium). I added some butter with a sprinkle of garlic salt and parsley to the top.
We ate them with brussel sprouts and they were perfection. We started buying a third of a cow every year when meat was hard to find in 2020. We are on our second cow and have already ordered a third because you have to get on a waiting list.
Carson said he was going to bring the tablet in the car so he didn't aggravate us. How thoughtful of him.
We used mod podge to glue the baseball puzzle together. Carson loved doing it. He's asking to glue every puzzle we have now. I just need to buy a frame for this one and then it will be ready to hang in Miles' room.
He wears his hood up all the time.
We are still trying to stay healthy and fight sickness with vitamins. The boys fill up their own pill boxes now.
When we drove to Florida for Darrin's tournament, we took this travel Lego box in the car. It provided hours of entertainment. I sat in the backseat while my father-in-law drove, so that really helped Carson with the drive. I love his brown eyes!
There is a new arcade close to our house. We are arcade people. We like Chuck E Cheese, Dave & Busters, the sketchy arcade area at the bowling alley, or any other arcade. We had this arcade to ourselves the whole time we were there. The boys had a great time and so did we.
Miles' friend, Nate, spent the night recently. They tried some bacon flavored hot chocolate that Miles got in his stocking. They said it was actually good. I wonder if it really was bacon flavored or if the package was a joke. I'll never know because I refused to try it!
