Weekend Wrap Up

We had a three day weekend, so we are just now wrapping it up. Miles got an early start to his weekend when Darrin picked him up a little early from school on Friday to go watch men's volleyball near Nashville. A college in the area recently starts a men's volleyball program so they had a "Grow the Game" tournament. Darrin wanted to watch and support the cause. Miles was happy to ride along.

Carson and I spent Friday night hanging out at home. As if we would choose to do anything different. I found him randomly starring at a picture of Granny and Pa. When I asked him what he was doing, he said "Ganny and Pa".

Later, he was looking at pictures on the computer and got to see Marmee and Granny in the same picture, which made him really happy.

Darrin and Miles got home late on Friday night. They would have spent the night, but Miles had a basketball game on Saturday. I love the way they announce each kid as they run out through the fans. Miles ran by Carson and then came back and gave him a long hug.

Miles' team won big. They are now 3-0.

He scored several points and made a free throw. Basketball is so easy to watch.

The temperature dropped drastically throughout the day and we camped out inside playing with play dough and paint.

You can see through our kitchen window that it even snowed a little. We probably ended up with an inch, but it was so cold out and wet underneath that it wasn't a snow that you could play in.

We had a first this weekend. After 2.5 years, the boys finally started fighting and arguing. Maybe being home all weekend did it, but they fought from the minute they woke up until they went to bed. Carson received multiple spankings and time outs. I put him in time out in his room and guarded the door so he couldn't escape. So, he crawled in that hamper next to me just to be difficult. He was a handful all weekend.

There were lots of "I'm sorrys" and make up hugs. I hope they don't continue this b/c it is no fun at all.

No matter how mean Carson is, Miles is still forgiving and sweet to him. He helped him up on this chair to have a good view of the snow falling.

We made it to church on Sunday and then came home to watch football. The boys fought all day again. It was a long weekend, but Darrin came home a day early so that was nice and very helpful!
