Lunch With Miles

We went to have Christmas lunch with Miles at school. They rotate the holiday meals with the parents. Kindergarten and 2nd grade have Thanksgiving with their parents and 1st and 3rd have Christmas. The entrance was so cute.

I thought that was really fun b/c they certainly didn't have to do that. They had a lot more decorations, but it was raining so I just snapped a few.

This is our first time to eat with him in the new school. It was so nice and spacious. The old school cafeteria was so small that it was hard for adults to sit and eat, especially grown men like Darrin.

As usual, Miles was elated to have us there. He wanted us to take him home, but of course we said no. He also wanted us to come back to his room, but we felt like that would be a distraction and none of the other parents were doing that, so we said no to that too. Bless him...he always wants more. If you come eat with him, he wants you to go back to his room. If we would have gone to his room, he would have wanted us to sit down for a minute. If we sat down for a minute, he would have wanted us to stay through activity period. We've had a lot of talks about "never enough" but I think it's just his personality. He's not an ungrateful kid at all...it's just him.

He used to cry every time we would leave. Thank goodness he's over that, but he was still sad. One day soon he won't care if we come or not, so we were happy to go.
