Santa Comes to Daycare

Santa made a surprise visit at daycare yesterday.  The kids had no idea even though he comes every year :)  He came walking down the hall jingling a bell.  Some were nervous, but most were elated...

He called out every child's name and gave them a present from his bag...the parents may or may not have been responsible for bringing a $8-10 gift without a gazillion pieces or small parts that could be easily lost.  As he called out each name, Miles was on his knees behind Amelia playing with her hair :)  

She was very patient, only turning around a few times to look at him as if to question what in the world he was doing.  She never seemed to get frustrated.  Good thing since he still claims that he's marrying her.

When Santa called Miles' name, he wouldn't go up there by himself.  Ms. Debra walked with him...

He grabbed the gift...

...and got the heck out of there...

After all the presents were handed out, they went back to their room to open them...

Miles got a "grabber" that lights up and talks in a robot voice.  Big hit.  He immediately put it to good use...

Santa hung around and we were able to go back out and get a picture.  He was much braver this time...

I'm so thankful for Miles' daycare and all the teachers that go above and beyond for them.
