Easter Fun

We had our share of Easter fun yesterday.  Miles woke up to his Easter basket, which seemed to have a super hero theme this year.  Spiderman gloves, bandaids, & a book, an Avengers backpack, and Ninja Turtles toys & shirt.  He was a happy little boy...

He also got gum & Peeps on a stick, which he had for breakfast. We've never done a lot of candy for Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc, so he doesn't know that he gets a little cheated on holidays.  Don't feel bad for him, I promise he's more than compensated with other things.

After church, we drove to Aunt Crystal & Uncle Steve's house for lunch with the family.  Our church service ran long and we had to drive a little over an hour to get there, so everyone was starting to eat as we got there.  Miles said he wasn't hungry, so I thought we'd let him play for a little while before he ate.  He was just too excited and I knew he'd eat when he was hungry.  I never gave it another thought until we were driving home at 5pm.  The kid had about 3 pieces of candy all afternoon.  Super parent fail.

We lost the kids and found them in the dog house, literally...

The big kids had fun on the golf cart...

Hayden is the only other boy in the family besides Miles, and he's a teenager.  He was the ring bearer at our wedding when he was Miles' age.  He has survived with all the girls, so I guess Miles will too.

Sequestered while we were hiding Easter eggs...

We had to take another one with baby Emma...

Let the hunt begin...

Miles had a little spill, but Kyler was nice enough to stop and help him...

They were complaining about heavy their baskets were....it's a rough life...

Chillin' after the egg hunt was over...

I love the look of happiness on all of their little faces.  It's the look of pure joy.  So precious.
