Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was all about baseball and hanging out with Hornet Nation friends. We dropped Carson off bright and early at Marmee's house. She was kind enough to watch him Saturday because the games were in the morning and it was very cold.

The boys played in the age bracket above theirs and held their own.

It looks nice and sunny, but it was even colder than last weekend for me.

Miles' friends, Brady, played with his team this weekend and all the boys were so happy to have him again.

Miles caught most the weekend, but pitched an inning and got in a few other positions.

They won one of their games in the last inning and the boys were so happy for the boy that got the RBI to win it. I love this picture of Miles patting his head as he walked off the field.

Any sort of fashion is out the window when it's cold at the baseball field. It's simple fend for yourself.

On Saturday night, some of the baseball moms had a night out. We planned for dinner and a movie. The night got a little off track when we ditched the movie about 10 minutes into it. In the end, we had lots of laughs and random cell phone pics.

On Sunday, it was back to the baseball field for championship Sunday.

The boys earned the 2 seed out of 10 teams. Not too shabby when you are playing up and on longer fields.

They won the semi final game to advance to the championship.

It was steep competition and they came up a lot short.

These boys eat, sleep, and breathe baseball. They play so much and never seem to grow tired of it.

Carson was so good all day. We took him to Dollar Tree before the game and bought some random things to play with. He and another baseball brother stayed busy all day. It was really cold, even sleeting off and on, but he never complained. I think he had the perfect combination of one day at Marmee's house and one day playing at the baseball field.

I really, really hope the next time we play it is significantly warmer. We still had the best time with our Hornet Nation friends.
