The funniest thing happened last weekend. Darrin, Miles, and Carson were all working outside. That usually means that Darrin and Miles are working and Carson is just driving around on his gator. We have five acres and live off the road, so it's safe for him to roam around without our eyes on him nonstop. Our neighbors had their grandchildren over and had been sitting in their backyard. Carson loves our neighbors and doesn't believe in social distancing from them :) I was working inside and got a message from the neighbors saying that they had a visitor, along with this picture.
Apparently, he knocked on their door and when they opened it, he walked right in and sat down at their table. When they asked him if we knew where he was, he just shrugged his shoulders. This kid is a mess. While his lack of fear or inhibition is a little worrisome, we love his spunk and confidence. The whole thing was hilarious and a little embarrassing, but I think they thought it was cute. They must not have been too bothered b/c they sent back a brownie for each of us too.
I thought I'd document a few of Carson's favorite things right now and some of his funny sayings. He has his own little language that is really funny.
Two of his biggest passions are popsicles and Sprite. We never had soda around when Miles was little, but now that he is older I keep some for when he has friends over. Miles usually drinks a couple sips and forgets about it. Not Carson. He loves Sprite and drinks it all. He was so proud to drive around with one in his cup holder today. He said "I drive slow so I don't spill it."
He's always so proud when he has one too.
His favorite toys are his John Deere gator, his cars (which have been a staple since he was really little), and his stuffed animals. His favorite thing in the whole world is to be outside. He loves to dig, play, and drive around. He really loves to ride on the 4-wheeler through our neighbor's woods. He says, "We go to Mr. Warlick's."
One of his biggest obsessions right now is when we are going to put the pool up. He asks every day. We've been telling him it's too cold. So now that we'd had two slightly warmer days, he really thinks we should be putting it up.
He says some of the funniest things. When he's mad, he says, "You no look at me" or "That's not funny at me" or "I not want you". When he's happy and content, he says, "I love you daddy, love you momma, love you bubba" all in one sentence, or he tells Darrin "You my best buddy" or friend or bud. When you are trying to get him to do something that he doesn't want to do, he says "I do that a-morrow (tomorrow)" or "No, I do that later". I wish I could capture his facial expressions b/c they are the best. He cuts his eyes or sighs with the wisdom of an adult. I think he gets his mannerisms from Miles and watching a three year old pass them off perfectly in context keeps us laughing. He has become far more manageable in the last couple months and we are so thankful!
