Pancakes for breakfast on Saturday morning before family pictures. On a side note, I'm so ready to be done with this high chair. It's heavy and we are constantly putting it away and dragging it back out. Not to mention how often we have to clean it. He still needs it so I guess we are out of luck for a little while longer.
Family pictures were very stressful. I didn't leave myself enough time to get ready. Getting the boys ready was time consuming, the outfits, hair, shoes, belts, etc. We got there late, but it all worked out. It was 32 degrees outside, but she managed to take them in 10-15 minutes and Carson was completely cooperative. I was slightly amazed by that. I can't wait to see them. Mini shoots are the way to go! After the shoot, I snapped a few pics of Carson when we got home. I forgot to ask her to take some of just Carson and Miles by themselves. I don't have near as many pics of Carson as I do of Miles. Second kid, I know.
I took a few pics of Miles after church today. This isn't what he wore in our pictures, but I took advantage since he was dressed up for church and it was a pretty day.
Marmee came for a quick visit. It's hard to tell, but she's hugging Carson bye.
They both love when Marmee comes to visit.
Carson usually gets upset with she leaves, but he was distracted b/c Darrin was working outside and he was happy that he was getting to go outside with him. We dressed him like it was in the teens outside, b/c that's what we do when it gets a little chilly in the south.
Miles went to watch two of his baseball teammates play in a football game. He says he wants to play next year, so I think he wanted to see what it was all about. He sat next to #11's mom, who is a good friend of mine. She said he watched the whole game.
She also said that I had him trained well b/c when he would go play with two of the other baseball players, he would come back and check in with her and sit down for a while :)
After the football game, he got to go home with one of his friends and play. Perfect Saturday in his mind.
Meanwhile at home, Carson was terrorizing everything. Purposely making a mess with his food...
Throwing a bowl of goldfish on the floor...
And, taking the stuffing out of a throw pillow. He didn't have a nap, which never happens, so I tried to be gracious. He was so tired.
Today consisted of church, football, and small group.
Carson is currently obsessed with Frozen. He says "show" if he wants to watch America's Funniest Videos and "moon-ie" if he wants to watch a movie and by that he means Frozen. The boys watched a little TV this afternoon.
We also managed to finish this puzzle...
...and start this one. 'Tis the season for puzzles around here.
I have off tomorrow for Veteran's Day, so we were able to put off our meal prep until then. Usually that is a Sunday afternoon thing. It was so nice to have a chill day without a long to-do list. I want to stay up and watch TV since I don't have work, but I'm about to fall asleep typing this and I want to wake up early and work out. I should go to sleep, but I just don't know. Decisions, decisions. Have a great week!
