Weekend Wrap Up

Even though I don't have many pictures to show for it, we have had a great weekend.  This picture is actually from Thursday night.  Cambry came over to play & stayed for dinner.  These two are such a trip.  Both of them are very funny.  They play very well together.  Miles is always so sad when it's time for Cambry to go home.

Friday night, we ate dinner at Pizza Hut and just hung out at home.  Saturday morning, the boys chopped wood in anticipation of the winter storm coming on Sunday.  Good thing they did....we haven't lost power yet, but the weather is terrible.  UTM is already closed for tomorrow & I'm wondering how my drive to work will go.

Darrin's parents came to get Miles on Saturday afternoon to spend the night.  He was so excited.  He could barely stand waiting all day.  As soon as they got there, he started dragging his suitcase to the car.  He didn't want to wait while we talked for a few minutes. 

He asked me how many nights he was going to stay.  He was disappointed when I told him one.  His wish came true when we decided to let him stay another day since the weather was getting bad.  Truth be told, we could have gotten him, but we knew he was having fun & we were enjoying some downtime too.  When Darrin's mom told him that he was staying another night, he said, "Momma tricked me."

We went to a dinner and a movie with some friends last night.  There were lots of laughs over dinner & at the movie.  Today, we had church, brought lunch home, took a long nap, watched TV, filed our taxes, went to the gym, and cooked.  To say it's been nice would be a huge understatement.  Darrin has been so busy lately & I've been taking up a lot of slack.  We both needed a break.  Darrin has another break tomorrow due to the weather, but I think I'm recharged and ready to go.  Have a great week!
