Backing up to Thursday since I didn't blog that day...Granny and Pa came to stay a couple days and help while Carson's daycare was shut down. We played Five Crowns where Darrin and Pa competed for first and Granny and I competed for last as it turned out.
Carson is very into games. They played Zingo, Monopoly, and Sorry a bunch while Granny and Pa were here.
We snuck away one night and drove to Martin to eat dinner with Rachel and Travis. Always a good time with these two.
We went to Marmee's house on Saturday morning to visit and help her with a few things. Darrin had to run to Lowe's, so Carson stayed with Marmee while Miles and I ran to get some cleats. We are only 33 days away from baseball season! I'm already praying for an early spring so we don't freeze.
Miles and I had some 1-1 time on Saturday night.
We went to Outback where he was offended when asked if we needed a kids menu. He proceeded to order a steak, grilled shrimp, a loaded potato, and a salad, and ate everything except the potato just because he finally filled up. He loves and appreciates good food so much.
We went to watch Stephanie's nephew in his school play. It was Disney's play called the Newsies and it was soooo good.
We went to the same school's play last year and it was amazing. When we found out Hunt had a big part this year, we knew we had to go. It's amazing to me what these kids can do. So many hours of practicing to memorize lines, songs, and dances.
Darrin and Carson stayed home and chilled. I think they were both happy about it.
We went to church this morning and then the boys jumped on the trampoline off and on all day. It was cute to watch them just sit out there and talk. I took this picture through the window because there was no way I was messing up the quiet time we were enjoying inside.
Carson got cold at one point and Miles gave him his sweatshirt. They do get along sometimes.
We meal prepped and then spent most of the afternoon on the couch watching football. It was so nice to enjoy the downtime. I don't have to work tomorrow which means I could relax a little easier knowing that I have tomorrow to get a few more things done for the week.
Miles is grounded from electronics at the moment and that means Carson reaped the benefits. They played several games of Monopoly Junior in addition to all their trampoline time. It's amazing how much time is in a day when it's not spent playing video games.
We all have the day off tomorrow. Well, Carson's daycare is open, but when given the opportunity, he said he wanted to stay home. I was kind of surprised he didn't want to go to school. He still might change his mind in the morning. Darrin and I are going to work out together in the morning and then we'll probably get some stuff done around here. Cheers to a 3 day weekend!
