Carson decided a month before Halloween that he wanted to be a dinosaur. There were several cute costumes on Amazon, but the dinosaur egg that came with this one sold him on it immediately. He put it on as soon as it came in the mail and was very happy.
He loved it, even though he did ask if we could cut the tail off b/c it got in the way while he watched TV.
The joy did not last long. When the day came to wear his costume to school, he was distraught. I still don't why.
There were many tears and fits as we tried to coax him into it.
It became clear that it wasn't worth the fight.
He was much happier to go as a football player. There were no regrets by anyone with this decision.
For Halloween night, I made this recipe. It is soooo good, very tasty.
On Halloween night, he was back on track with the dinosaur costume.
Miles went to a Halloween party b/c he's outgrowing the trick of treating phase. Meanwhile, Carson LOVED trick or treating. It took a couple hours for him to understand the process, but then it became his job.
Anytime we took Miles trick or treating, he went a few houses and was ready to call it a night. Carson wanted to fill up his bucket. His little legs walked and walked. A lot of people put out bowls this year instead of answering the door. I thought that was really nice of them and people were very respectful to only get a couple pieces.
The last house was Ms. Stephanie's. She gave him enough to fill up the rest of his bucket :)
And this is what he had to show for all of his hard work!
We are just now running out of it. He shared with all of us. The lollipops are left and they serve as a nice bribe for him to finish his dinner. They don't tempt anyone in the house but him!
Miles had fun at his party too. They went on a hayride and played. It was a fun Halloween with perfect weather.
