Weekend Wrap Up

We had a full weekend, but I don't really have the pictures to show for it. When I looked back at my pics from the weekend, I had seven random shots. So, here they are.

Miles had a basketball game on Saturday morning. The Badgers won big!

Carson took his 'pack pack' again, but I failed to charge the DVD players, so he was a little more challenging to kept contained. Marmee was here to help too.

Miles was happy that Marmee was in town to watch him play.

After basketball, we made a quick trip to Lowes. When I bought Miles' bed it didn't come with slats. I didn't think it was a big deal to order slats, but unfortunately we have ordered 3 sets from Amazon and none have worked. In case you were wondering, it is not fun to package and return these things! We thought we'd try making some ourselves, but decided against it after our trip to Lowes....too expensive and too much work. I ordered the 4th set yesterday and I'm hopeful they will work.

Carson gave the Lowes' trip two thumbs up. He's all about some 'mon-mowers'.

The boys woke up croupy this morning, so Darrin stayed home with them while I went to church. Miles said his throat was hurting and Carson sounded like he had croup. We learned when he was younger that he has a small airway so he sounds worse than he is and more than likely doesn't have croup. His breathing was really labored and his cough was terrible, but he didn't run a fever all day and he didn't cough much either. We did a couple breathing treatments, rubbed some oils on his chest, gave him Motrin, and ran the humidifier as he went to bed tonight. He was incredibly whiny all day. We are really hoping that he wakes up feeling much better tomorrow. We both have full weeks and need this guy to be able to go to daycare. Fingers crossed!

Miles felt fine after getting up and going this morning, so we ran a lot of errands today. I took him to his favorite restaurant, according to him, Panda Express. He also went to the gym where he plays basketball to shoot with his coach and a couple teammates. I was so happy for him to be able to do this on such a rainy day.

Not pictured: Darrin and I had a proper date night on Friday night. My mom watched the boys while we went to dinner and a movie. We kept is classy and went to Buffalo Wild Wings :) Then, we watched The Upside and both really liked it. Also not pictured...after 3 years of deliberating, we bought a new washer and dryer! Our current washer and dryer is 15 years old. The agitator broke, so we can only do medium sized loads and the front his held on by duck tape. To say this purchase was overdue would be the understatement of the century. It arrives on Wednesday so more to come on that. I'm off to bed very early b/c Carson was a handful all weekend. That's nothing new, but I guess b/c he didn't feel good he was extra needy. I need a good night's sleep to recover for the busy week ahead. Good night!
