Less Words Wednesday

Miles played his second golf tournament today. We gave him new clubs on Monday for an early birthday present. He took first place in the skills challenge (driving, putting and chipping), which he predicted this morning.

He doesn't tend to have confidence in sports like that, so it was nice to see him believe in something and then go earn it. Receiving his medal...

He said his drive is what won it for him. In his words, his drive was "incredible". His age group had 10+ kids.

He's received several trophies for baseball, but there's something about an individual sport that is a little different. Just knowing he earned it all by himself was a big deal. Proud of our big kid tonight!
