The three of us were excited to wake him up this morning.
He was not so excited b/c he's the only one that likes to sleep in.
He perked up quickly when Miles showed him the present that he had picked out for him.
He couldn't really be bothered with donuts & candles after he saw his present.
He finally came over and let Miles blow out his candles. He wanted no part of them, which is unusual for him to shy away from anything. As if Miles would have let him anywhere near the candles anyway. Big brother has the protector role down.
We picked him up from daycare a little early and went to the new splash pad in our town.
It was a fun afternoon to celebrate with our baby boy for a little while.
He sure has changed from a year ago. Darrin and I thought and thought about the right word to describe him. We tossed around passionate, extreme, destructive, and wild to name a few. So, instead of describing him as sweet this year, I would have to say he's bold. He lives life to the fullest and goes full speed ahead at all times. He is fearless, loud, expressive, and entertaining. His favorite place to be is outside. He doesn't like TV at all. He's ok with toys and games, but only when someone is beside him to hold his attention. When he wants to play, he points to the floor and says "sit', which is pronounced "seeeeat". He is an ok eater and a great sleeper. He is a momma's boy through and through. I think all three of us still can't believe he's ours. What a precious gift he is. Happy Birthday, Carson!
