This is more of a last week wrap up with lots of pictures, so they are in no particular order for the sake of time.
Carson likes to hang out in the back of Darrin's truck. Just hanging out, eating a snack.
Miles had a one week follow up for his arm. X-rays looks good, but it was still hurting him, so the doctor added a sling to rest his elbow. It's been a week and it's already feeling much better. We are hoping he might be able to jump back into basketball season before it's over, but I just don't know.
He enjoyed looking at the baseball memorabilia in the office while we were waiting to be called back.
My electric blanket hasn't been working, but it turned on this weekend! I was so happy, and just in time for the cold weather. I got some reading in under my nice, warm blanket.
Darrin went to watch Union play in the conference tournament this weekend in Florida and Miles was gone on a church retreat, so Carson and I had a fun time together. He associates one on one time with me with playing games. He woke me up at 6am on Saturday morning and said he wanted to play Sorry. I made him wait a little while, but then we did play Sorry.
Miles had basketball homecoming, which is really just being announced and having someone walk with you.
He asked his good friend, Reese. He bought her a corsage. When I told him that he was supposed to put it on her, he just looked at me. To my surprise, he told me when he got home that he did put it on her.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, says small town living like voting does.
I got to catch up with a good friend during the homecoming games last week. We have been trying to get together for months and just haven't been able to. We made the most of our time and covered a ton of topics.
Carson has decided that he only likes sweatshirts and refuses any kind of jacket. I made him wear this jacket when we went to get our grocery pick up the other day in exchange for allowing him to take his DS in the car. Worked like a charm and now he says he likes the jacket.
Miles and I finished the Halloween puzzle the other day and we were missing one piece. We looked everywhere. We looked under the table with flashlights and even in the vacuum cleaner, but no luck. Carson woke up the next morning and found it in two seconds. As soon as they left for school, I cleaned up the puzzle and put it away. I was over it.
Between the sleeping and eating, he must be growing. He ate 3 scrambled eggs yesterday morning. He said they were the best eggs which is a big deal since he used to think I couldn't cook breakfast since Darrin always does it.
It's turned cold, but still took a quick walk today to move a little and enjoy some sunshine.
Carson went to a birthday party yesterday for a friend in his class. It was an art party. Carson really liked it. He wanted to do everything.
Bundled up for a our walk today.
Carson slept in my bed last night since Darrin was gone. I don't think either of us slept well. He was smiling in my face at 5:45 this morning telling me he wanted some eggs.
Carson put this sticker on my shirt today and told me this was me and his this weekend :)
I met one of Carson's classmates and her mom at the party yesterday. Her mom told me that her daughter had to go to the office to get something the other day. When she was coming back, the class was already walking to lunch and Carson was standing at the end of the hallway holding her lunch box for her. That's my sweet boy.
