Just a typical weekend around here. We didn't have a lot of scheduled plans, but a few things we needed to get done around the house. Darrin took Carson to the park.
Miles left for the beach. Carson cried hard as soon as Miles left, but he recovered pretty fast.
Miles was beyond excited to go with his friend, Brady. Before this summer, Miles really didn't like to be away from home. That has all changed now!
We spent some time in the pool.
Stephanie stopped by for a visit.
We made some good food. As I've said before, I'll never be a food blogger because my pictures are not appealing. I don't know how they do it, but apparently they hire photographers. We completely thawed some frozen shrimp (1 lb) and tossed with 2 T olive oil, 1 tsp minced garlic, 2 tsp Cajun seasoning, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1/4 onion powder, and cooked in the air fryer on 400 for 6 minutes. It was really good! We actually doubled the recipe and it all cooked fine in our big air fryer.
Carson carried around a butterfly on his pinky and called it his pet.
We also rated him on his jumps off the diving board. This was his ninja kick. Playing this game was the only way to get him off of Darrin for 10 minutes.
We also made some kielbasa and veggies in the air fryer. It was another winning recipe.
Miles is having a great time. He went crab hunting for the first time and had a blast.
We are already counting down until the weekend again.
