Catching Up & Priorities

I survived my first day back at work. It wasn't too bad b/c my bestie co-worker did a fantastic job keeping up with things for me while I was out (and of course b/c I have amazing people that work for me). She and I have worked together closely for 15 years and we can read each other's minds :)

Here are some more happenings from October. We played more baseball and finished up the season with a huge win.

Aside from the state tournament earlier in the year, this might have been the most exciting win for the boys. It was intense competition and two of the games went into extra innings. They have come a long way.

Carson loved being outside.

The mommarazi was in full effect after this big win.

Miles probably had his best weekend of baseball ever. He pitched good, but mostly caught and worked hard behind the plate. The biggest accomplishment for him over the weekend was three doubles. We were so happy for him.

I would say there's no place we'd rather be, but basketball is edging it's way into our lives. I love hanging out with my friends at the baseball field and we've enjoyed so many years of it, but basketball sure is exciting. Those big baseball moments are pretty fun too though.

I thought he might grow tired of catching after the newness wore off, but instead he's enjoying it more and more as he becomes more confident.

In other news, Carson had picture day. He wasn't very happy when he left the house.

His mood always turns around on the way to school b/c he loves it. He is happy to walk into school every single day. His smile is precious, but that hair. Momma did not order these.

Carson is learning at school to write his name. I think we have a lefty. Miles used to go back and forth, but Carson consistently uses his left hand. His tongue sticking out is the cutest.

Carson has a weekly homework folder. It was a novelty when he first came home with it. He wanted to do his homework just like Miles, including a bowl of cereal.

One day, Carson decided he wanted to clean.

He kept asking for more and more things to do.

It occupied him for over an hour. His cleaning skills need some work, but I'm thankful for his helpful spirit.

I should go to bed since it's after 9 and I'm pretty tired from my first day back, but the Bachelorette is on and #priorities. Good night, all!
