Carson 'helped' for around five minutes.
He didn't like his job of drying the floor. I guess he saw through it and knew I just made it up to give him something to do. He wanted to operate the steam mop. Miles was patient, let him make a few passes, and then Carson quickly went back to watching Mickey Mouse. It took Miles around two hours. When he was finished, he said, "That was fun." He even said at one point that it was satisfying to see the grout come clean. There's no doubt that he's my child. He earned $30 and chose to save $10 and put $20 in his checking account.
Miles was so excited when Darrin told them where they were going. He text me just before they got there and said he was so excited and that they were just 10 minutes away.
Miles' favorite part was looking at the fish.
Carson's favorite part was checking out all the ATVs. Darrin said he sat on every single one. As I looked at pictures with him tonight, he kept asking me if he could have one.
They are starting to look more alike. I'm really curious how Carson's look will change in the coming years. Carson told me that he wanted to ride this in the woods behind Darrin.
All three of them want a boat too. I reminded Darrin that I wanted living room furniture :) I think I'm outnumbered on that.
Darrin sent all the pictures to me while I was at work. I loved getting them. It might seem unfair that I am missing out on all their adventures, but I really don't feel that way. They are getting to do a lot of boy stuff that I don't particularly enjoy. I always enjoy time with all three of them, but I feel like I am getting a lot of quality time at night. I'm happy that they are getting to do fun stuff and that Darrin is able to be home with them so much. Normally he would be gone recruiting every weekend this time of year. He's doing a great job of keeping them busy and treating them to fun experiences.
Smiles all around for a fun day.
