Weekend Wrap Up

Our weekend started Friday morning with Carson deciding he loved Miles' Build a Bear, Rumpelstilskein. He carried him all through the house, gave him milk from his sippy cup, and wanted his shoes on and off.

Miles' teacher sent this picture at the end of the day. Yay for the weekend!

So, my Halloween costume for work earned us second place in the company! We have over 2,000 employees, so we were pretty proud.

We got Carson's school picture proof back. I think he looks adorable, but Darrin and I agree that something about it doesn't look like him. I think it's something to do with his head or hair. I don't know?? Cute nonetheless and we will be ordering some.

Friday night, Stephanie watched him while we went to Darrin's volleyball game. I think Carson was excited about it.

Granny & Pa spent the night on Friday night so they could go to Darrin's games on Friday & Saturday night.

Carson was so excited to have them here. He talks about all Granny, Pa, and Marmee everyday.

We had a lazy Saturday morning around the house. The boys enjoyed being home.

Granny & Pa stayed home with the boys while Darrin and I went to senior day for his two seniors. In the past, we have had a dinner at our house, but the team and the participation of the parents has grown in four years, so we couldn't accommodate everyone. 80 people RSVP'd! We had an afternoon tailgate. It was perfect weather.

It was a really nice day and I hope the seniors and their parents felt honored. Playing for four years is a huge accomplishment that many don't achieve. We will miss these girls on and off the court.

They played their last game of the season on Saturday night. After the game, Miles was crying b/c he was so tired. I felt like I needed to say bye to several of the parents b/c we won't see them until next fall, but I finally just had to leave b/c he was literally falling apart. I honestly felt like I could cry with him b/c I was so tired. I just wanted to go home and sleep for days.

Since sleeping for days wasn't an option, we got up and went to church. The kids sang in the service. That's always Miles least favorite thing. I think if he remembered it before church he would ask to sit with us so he could avoid it, but he never does.

Miles had a birthday party this afternoon for one of his baseball teammates. He was so excited he could hardly contain himself.

It was at a place that has an outside park with tons of things to hide around. The owner plays all kinds of games with the Nerf gun wars. Miles was in heaven.

Now, it's about time to get Carson in bed, so we can work on a jigsaw puzzle, which is our favorite post volleyball activity. We are ready to have some downtime with Darrin. I still feel like I could sleep for days. I think all four of us could. Hopefully this week will bring some rest.
