A Little Family Tradition & Guess Who

Yesterday, I opened my planned and my day looked like this.

To clarify, this is my planner for all my personal things. I use my Outlook calendar for my work to dos. I just like having something written that I can easily add and check off. I've been using this system for several years after a friend gave me the idea and keeping the two task lists separate works so well for me. I was tempted all day to write things down like laundry, plan dinner for the next night, blog, and on & on. I purposely avoided it all day and decided that I wasn't going to do anything but hang out with the family and watch football.

We are a little crazy about football in our house and big games like the play offs, the national championship, and the Super Bowl are like holidays. Darrin started the tradition of making signs a couple years ago. Ours weren't quite as impressive this year, but fun nonetheless.

Everyone got to pick one favorite food and that was our dinner. Miles said that he wanted to cheese dip, but after further questioning it was discovered that he only chose that b/c he knew that is what Darrin would want. Cheese dip is Darrin's choice 100% of the time. After I assured Miles that daddy would have cheese dip, he chose ice cream. I decided to make a new recipe that I found on Pinterest. Even though the butter leaked out of the bundt pan, it was a hit and will be made again. Carson ate spaghetti. He's still too young for a meal of nothing but junk food IMO, but I'm pretty sure that is what he would have chosen anyway. Darrin & Miles stayed up for the whole game. I, on the other hand, could not stay awake past half time. I wanted Georgia to win, but I hate that I missed such a good game. Miles was up until 11:30pm. I sent his teacher a text this morning to let her know in case he was tired or misbehaving. She said "It's all good" which is what I expected her to say. She's cool.

Miles or Carson?

It's Miles. It popped up on my Time Hop today and I think it looks so much like Carson! At times they look so different and other times they look just alike. The fact that he's contently sitting in a car seat with a hat on should have been a dead give away. Carson doesn't do either one of these things although he is getting a little better in the car.
