Weekend Wrap Up

Miles got his first varsity win. He did a great job and we were so happy for him.

Darrin & Carson stayed home and watched online. There have been a lot of late nights for Carson, so we try for one of us to stay home with him. Granny & Pa were able to be there.

We were back on Saturday for another game.

Miles got the start again and got to play five innings.

Coach Steve will always be coaching.

The boys won the game, so we didn't have to stay for an "if necessary" game. We were happy to get home at a decent hour, grill out, and chill for a little while.

The umpire came to find Miles in the line after the game to tell him thank you. Miles has always loved talking to the umps.

As soon as we got back to the school to pick him up, the boys learned that their baseball manager was being flown to Vanderbilt due to a serious infection. The boys couldn't go back and see him so they waited outside and cheered for him as he was being taken to the helicopter. We are praying hard for him!

With their win on Saturday, they are Region Champs and will host sub state beginning this week. We are so hoping for a trip to state next week.

I told them for Mother's Day I wanted us to run errands with no complaints or anyone rushing me. They obliged. I cannot remember another time when they tried on clothes at the same time. Trying on clothes was such a thing when I was younger, but now we just order and return. I didn't feel like doing that so I asked if we could just try them on for once. We walked away with 9 pairs of shorts. They are set for a while.

After shopping we got some Rock & Roll Sushi per my request. Ironically I'm the only one that didn't eat sushi.

After lunch we went furniture shopping for Marmee to get a new chair. I'm not sure who had the most fun. Carson was devastated when we didn't buy him a couch.

For Mother's Day we did some sprucing up of Marmee's front landscape. Darrin and Miles planted a couple rose bushes and Carson added the rocks. That is definitely some of Carson's best work.

Carson was very excited to get home and get in the freezing cold pool which he says is not that cold. We are not falling for that.

Darrin and the boys were good to me. I'm thankful for them and our day.
