Weekend Wrap Up

We've been making milkshakes and adding some protein for Miles, so Marmee gifted us some of her fun glasses.

Carson is a big fan. He picked the biggest glass for himself.

Friday was a snow day for the boys. In all, we probably got 5-6" at least. Marmee came to our house so she would be snowed in with us for a couple nights. Carson was ready to go outside bright and early.

He played outside by himself for a hour and then came in for hot chocolate, which is very much a tradition. Mom fail, I forgot to buy hot chocolate. Thankfully we had some chocolate milk, so we heated it up and improvised with what he had. He liked it just fine. I actually think it was better than regular hot chocolate.

After a little break for Carson and a half day of work for Darrin and me, the four of us went out to play.

I always love to see our backyard covered in snow.

We built an igloo. Everyone was onboard building for longer than I would have imagined :)

Darrin and I went riding on some trails.

It was fun, but the snow was pelting out face which took away from some of the pretty views since I had my hands covering my face with just a little opening to peek out.

Sledding and tubing is all fun and games until you have to walk back up the hill.

After tons of fun outside, we relaxed inside and all did our own thing. When we all chill in our own spaces, Carson is always in the sunroom. He loved having Marmee hanging out with him.

Saturday morning started off chill. We worked a custom puzzle that Miles got for Christmas.

These custom puzzles the boys got for Christmas were so fun to put together.

The morning was chill until I got the idea to paint Miles' room. It's been on my to do list for a while. He's been patiently waiting. I told him the only way I would do it is it he would help me because I didn't want to force my crazy idea on Darrin and ruin his snow weekend. Miles said he was help, so off to Lowes we went to pick a color.

Carson learned a few new things. He was VERY excited and energetic about the project. He was talking nonstop and very keyed up. I finally told him he couldn't talk for two minutes. After around two minutes he said "Love you mom. It's been two minutes. I counted in my head."

He was also very concerned about how we were going to move Miles' bed because it's a king sized bed and we were moving it to a different wall. He said, "Will you guys move it and I will spectate to make sure the legs don't move on the bottom?"

Miles and I worked Saturday and Sunday. We had to involve Darrin on Sunday to his dismay. Everything is put back together and I am exhausted.

Before and afters to come soon. We got everything put back together in the rest of the house too, plus got everything in order for school and work tomorrow. Now it's time to rest for the few minutes I have left of the weekend. It was a hard weekend working, but Miles is so happy and I'm glad to have that project marked off the list.
