Happy New Year! We celebrated with two other couples and ton of kids.
We rang in 2021 at midnight Eastern time even though we are Central time :) It seems like the best decision. It was freezing cold outside and 9pm is really the new midnight anyway.
We ate steak and other yummy food and then the adults played Telestrations and What Do You Meme. Both were entertaining.
The kids played Telestrations after us and they seemed to have lots of laughs.
Then, we all got excited for the ball to drop. There was a lot of noise going on in this picture.
And this one.
I think a new year is always exciting. It's a fresh start. Christmas is over, decorations are put away and my planner is empty and ready for new plans. Being honest, I don't have many expectations for this year. Not in a negative way. Rather, I'm planning less and going with the flow more until we know what this year (and Covid) has in store for us. When you don't have big expectations, it's easier to handle the changes.
Miles spent the night at the party, so we let Carson sleep with us. He's not a great partner, but he's cute to wake up next to.
Praying this year brings happiness, stability, and blessing all around!
