Weekend Wrap Up

Friday kicked off with a usual crazy morning before work and school. Miles said over the break that he's sure everyone will be wearing new clothes when they go back to school. I think he was excited to wear his.

Carson 'helped' with his hair.

My mom was with us Friday night. We just hung around the house. Miles has been into drawing lately so he drew several characters from one of his Netflix shows. I went to bed at 9. I was so tired after getting up at 4:30am to work out and from a long week at work. Work is still so busy. I just had a week off, but I feel like I need a real vacation.

Miles had his first game on Saturday morning. The Badgers won! I don't remember the final score, but it was pretty close most of the game and then we pulled away a little at the end.

Miles was happy to have Marmee there. She wasn't able to watch a game at all last year. She was surprised how good he was :)

She thought he looked really comfortable on the court, which is what I keep saying about this sport for him.

My favorite moment came when one of his teammates was struggling to tie his shoe. After some awkward time had gone by, Miles went to check on him. He ended up getting it by himself but I'm glad Miles was there for him.

Saturday night, we went to a Black Tie & Boxing fundraiser for Type 1 diabetes. One of friend's daughter was diagnosed with it last year, so we went in support.

We went last year too. It is a really fun event. The bottom floor is black tie and formals, but we sat in the cheap seats.

The fights were good last year, but they were so much better this year. Random fact, I actually like to watch MMA. I have to watch through my hands sometimes, but it's good.

One of Darrin's players watched the boys for us. Apparently while she was playing the play station with Miles, Carson decided to cut a hole in his pants. It took her a minute to get to the end of her story, so by the time she got there I was relived that is all it was. I thought she was going to tell me he cut his hair. Miles was very concerned for her b/c he thought we would be really mad. All we could do was shake our heads.

I had to grocery shop on Sunday after church. When Carson heard me say Walmart, he insisted on going to 'Mall-Mart". He was a happy little shopping partner. He really liked the football balloons they had all over the store.

Darrin had a recruit and Miles had baseball practice on Sunday afternoon, so after Carson woke up from his nap we went outside for some sunshine.

It was in the 80s and he was soooooo happy to be outside.

Walking around like a boss...

We still have a lot of winter left, but the warm weather had us talking about baseball and planting our garden. Fun times ahead.

I met a friend at Starbucks to talk about a bible study that we are leading beginning next week. Then, we finished the night by watching the Titan Games. Tonight is all about the National Championship. Notice, I'm blogging during the game. I mean, it's not the Super Bowl or anything. My family likes big games, so I support that, but truthfully I don't care. I'm also recording the Bachelor premiere, but I'll start that another night as not to appall them. Good night!
