Weekend Wrap Up

So this purchase happened the day before we left on vacation. Darrin has asked for one 347,861 times since we moved into our house two years ago. It was finally time and we came across a good deal that we couldn't pass up.

He and Miles have been riding some trails around our house almost every day. I finally got some time this weekend. I've never been a huge fan of 4wheelers b/c I think they are dangerous, but I have to say that it's pretty fun. Hopefully we can teach both our boys to handle them responsibly from a young age.

We've also been teaching Miles how to play poker. He's pretty dang good at it. He had a straight and earned this huge pot partly due to his sneaky betting.

When we finished the other night, Darrin said to me, "Keep him out of the casino"...to which I replied, "Or take him???" 

Another weekend activity has been a new slip and slide.

We wanted a water related toy that would serve both boys. This seems to do the trick. 

Miles can slide and Carson can crawl around. 

Things like this usually end up being a ton of set up for a little amount of play, but they actually stayed entertained for a while. I liked being able to sit on the side and get some sun while the water kept my legs cool. 

Marmee has been here most of the weekend. The swing gets a lot of use while she is here. Carson finds it very relaxing and usually ends up napping.

This little guy is getting tubes in the morning. He's had a combined 7 ear infections. I called for an appointment just last Tuesday and it escalated quickly b/c they had a cancellation. I am so glad. I just want to get it over with so Carson can feel 100%. He's a very happy baby, but I do think his ears are keeping him down a bit. I can't wait to see how good he feels after he recovers.
