On Monday, Miles & I went to Holt Family Farms with some friends. I've always wanted to take Miles, but with volleyball season, it has never worked with our schedule. I was off for Columbus Day and Darrin was out of town. I posted the idea on our Sunday School FB page and we ended up having 8 families. It was the best possible time b/c there was hardly anyone else there. Our kids had free reign of the place.
Miles & Kohen...
They have the nicest petting zoo I've seen b/c the animals looked clean & healthy.
Everyone rides a hayride to the pumpkin patch. As soon as Miles heard that we were going on a hayride, he immediately started saying that he wasn't going. Poor kid is scared of everything, and especially the unknown. I knew that he didn't know what a hayride was. I've learned that the first thing you have to do for him is ease his fears by telling him that he does not have to go if he doesn't want to. After you establish that, he will usually at least check out whatever it is that you want him to do. Once I showed him the trailer, he was fine with it.
After we picked our pumpkins and rode back, the kids played in the corn. They all LOVED this. I think it was everyone's favorite.
Snow angels in the corn....they were dirty, messy kids after this...
Yelling to hear his echo???
Boys having fun...
The many faces of Miles...
Best picture of the day goes to Tori & Linley...
Best sport of the day goes to Amy for taking Emerie down the slide even though she's pregnant :)
Holt Family Farms was a hit!
